The archerfamily site, which refers to (inter alia) BIFR1976 (which we have yet to compare the following with), starts with 2 brothers - Leonard & Bartholomew - whose father may have been either John (Provost of Limerick in 1555) or Thomas (Bailiff of Limerick in 1559) either/both of whom may have been descended from one or more of the following who were earlier Provosts of Limerick - Robert (1513), Philip (1500), Maurice (1492). BLGI1912 starts with Bartholomew, Sheriff of Limerick in 1596, father of 3 sons, 2 of whom were James (m. Christian Comyn) and Robert (father of Clement). Provisionally, we follow the archerfamily site by starting with the brothers Leonard & Bartholomew but we may revise this in due course.
