'AndersonMemoirs' (Supplement, 'Bourtreehill', p242), identifies his wife and mother of his children as Elizabeth, dau of Sir Archibald Hamilton of Rosehall. 'HamiltonHistory', supported by HJHeraldry (p38) reports that Robert's wife was Anne Cunninghame, widow of John Hunter of Brownhill, who we suspect was his widow. BLG1952 shows the mother of his children as ....
