  Commoners/BLG1886 start with Richard (Sheriff of London in 1618), describing him as "of an ancient family in the city of London" although it does look as though his roots were in Norfolk. Commoners does not name Richard's wife but BLG1886 identifies her as Susanna Woodward. As mentioned below, we follow Visitation (Norfolk) in showing Susan Woodford as wife of his son John (who is not mentioned by BLG886 or Commoners). The Visitations identify Richard's wife as ...
