Both TCB and BP1895 start with the following Emanuel. TCB reports that his "parentage is unknown", adding a note which reports as follows:"In Payfair's Baronetage [1811], he is stated to have been grandson of "Thomas Moore, Esq., of the Priory of Taunton, Somerset" (who d. 1575), though how such a conclusion is arrived at is not explained."
