(1) Simply because of the shared name and profession, it would not surprise us should the following Oliver have been a son (or close relation) of the Rev. Oliver shown above (m. Katherine Towers). However, we have no evidence to support that at all. (2) Assuming that there is no confusion with 2 eponymous Rev. Olivers of Chelmsford, it appears that the following Oliver married (at least) twice. His daughter Mary was of his first marriage. We assume that Eleanor Bright was his first wife, and so was mother of Mary, but it is possible that she was his 3rd wife, and so not Mary's mother. |
