Families covered: Vaughan of Lisburne, Vaughan of Trawscoed

Adda Vychan (a c1200)
m. Tudo (dau of Ievan Goch of Trawscoed)
1. Meredith (Maredudd) Vychan of Trawscoed
BP1934 (Newborough) identifies Meredith as ancestor of the Vaughans of Trawscoed. According to BP1934 (Lisburne), 13th in descent from Adda, and therefore 12th in descent from Meredith, was Edward Vaughan of Trawscoed who died in 1664. The intervening generations come from Griffith's Pedigrees (Tribe of Collwyn ap Tangno, p391) but it should be noted that this shows Meredith as only 8th in decent from Meredith. It is not unlikely that the following does omit 4 generations.
