| The undermentioned Robert of Upton is identified in Commoners (vol 4, Bamford-Hesketh of Gwyrch Castle) as "A younger son of the Rossall family". BLG1886 (Bamford-Hesketh of Gwyrch Castle) merely reports that he was "Descended from the same family as Rufford and Rossall Heskeths".
