Families covered: Manley of Erbistock, Mandley (Manley) of Lach, Mandley (Manley) of Monksfield, Manley of Manley, Manley of Pulton (Poulton)
(1) Commoners reports that "About the year 1520, the Manleys removed from Cheshire to Erbistock, in Denbighshire, and resided there for about two hundred years, on a property which still belongs to the family". Ormerod, used for the continuation, ends with the following William & Elizabeth except to show them as parents of a Thomas. Earwalker, also used for the continuation, does the same except to show Thomas as father of 2 daughters. (2) Commoners identifies the arms of the later generations as "Arg. a dexter hand couped and erect sa. within a bordure engr. of the last". |
