James Roberton, 1st of Bedlay (d 05.1664, Senator as Lord Bedlay)
The Earnock book does not give any information about Lord Bedlay's successors at Bedlay but 'The Old Country Houses of the Old Glasgow Gentry', published by James Macleshose in 1878, reports that "Bedlay remained the property of his descendants during five generations; but in 1786 it was judicially sold."
