  BLG1952 identifies David as ancestor of Balfour of Pitcullo. The following comes from 'RedBookScot' ('Balfour of Pitcullo (1st family')). We presume that the 2nd family is that of Sir William Balfour of Pitcullo who appears to have obtained (or leased) (part of) Pitcullo rather than inherited it.
