| We have been advised by a contributor (BE, 27.02.13) that William was son of Bridget Butler and not of Elizabeth Lee. BIFR1976 (Butler (now Butler-Sloss)) reports that Bridget "d shortly post 1774" which suggests that there were years enough of that first marriage for there to have been more than 2 children from it. However, provisionally we follow BLGI1912, which is supported in this by BP2003 (Dunboyne), in showing him as of this marriage. | |||||||||||||||
