  On 05.07.21 we started but did not finish reviewing the following using MGH, which disagrees with some but not all of it. We hope to complete that review in due course.

  m. (1549) Anne Smyth (dau of John Smyth of Cavendish)
Lodge reports that Henry dsp and that Henry was succeded by his brother Edward who, by Martha Hanchet, was father of the Edward who m. Anne Morice. However, Visitation (Suffolk) shows that Henry & Anne had several children and that Henry had a brother, Bartholomew, who was older than Edward. Nevertheless, we follow Lodge in identifying Edward as ancestor of the Earls Winterton.
