The following is partly supported by a note in BP1870 ('Sawle'). That does not mention either Francis or the following George whose connection to this family is shown by Vivian with a dotted line, indicating that it may not be secure. As Vivian identifies the younger Francis as his father's heir, it is possible that the connection is wrong, that George was disinherited or illegitimate (or there was some other reason why Francis was identified as heir rather than George), or that at least one of the dates given by Vivian is wrong.
