BEB1841 reports that, when Anne was young and the family lived on London Bridge, a maid dropped Anne into the river Thames. One of Sir William's apprentices, Mr. Osborne, "leap'd in bravely, and saved the child. In memory of which deliverance, and in gratitude, her father afterwards bestowed her in marriage on the said Mr. Osborne, with a very great dowry".

  BEB1841 starts with the following Robert of Killamarch but mentions in a note that "Of the same family was Sir William Hewet, Lord Mayor of London, 1559, but whether brother to this Robert is not certain". FMG does not mention Robert. We provisionally and somewhat arbitrarily show him as a cousin of Sir William (and Thomas). This should be viewed with caution.
