It is believed that Forde came into this family through the above-mentioned marriage of Thomas Carre with Elizabeth Heron. However, the dates make it difficult to see how the following John fitted into that family. We show the following here pending further investigation. It seems likely that there was already a Carr family at Ford (albeit perhaps not 'of Ford Castle') before Thomas married Elizabeth.
