This family was originally based in Cocks Hall in Kent but this branch moved to Gloucestershire in the time of King Henry VIII.

  BP1934 and BEB1841 start with this generation but, whilst BEB1841 supports Visitation in showing his eldest son Thomas as having a son, BP1934 reports that this Thomas was succeeded by "his 2nd but eldest surviving son" Richard. MGH identifies Thomas as the eldest son & heir in 1600.
