It is highly speculative (and presumptuous) to show the following James as of this family but we think it not unlikely that he was, though we have no clue as to exactly how we was connected (if at all). N.B. The dates suggest that it is likely that the daughter who is identified belore as Mrs Gumm was not in fact sister of Jane & Dorothea (as described in the Jeans source) but was a generation or two earlier.
