This page is still being researched. It has NOT yet been launched formally into the Database but is shown here TEMPORARILY (albeit for an uncertain length of time pending further research), partly to record connections that we fear we might otherwise lose sight of and partly in the hope that one or more visitors to the site will contribute information that will enable us to develop our information on the families covered in this page to a standard that would support release of a dedicated page in the Database.

The following records the suggestions of the interesting genealogical database at www.celtic-casimir.com/webtree/. It provides an alternative ancestry for the Talbot and Lacy families. We have not yet used it to extend Talbot01 or to amend Lacy01 because we wish to investigate the suggestions further before we commit to support such major claims. 'The Pedigree Register' shows the following Ranulph as son (by Cecily, dau/heir of Robert de Romelli of Skipton) of William de Meschines brother of Ranulph, Earl of Chester, whereas the William who married Cecily Romelli is normally shown as Ranulph's son.
