Foster, whose work covers Glover's, starts 'properly' with the following Sir John, who is the first mentioned by Visitation (1563-4), but shows the parents of Sir John in italics, as possibly being a Sir John Salven & Elizabeth, dau/coheir of Peter De Malolacu of Borough & Malolacu. Provisionally we follow Clay in leaving out that generation.
