Families covered: Craufurd (Crawford or Crauford) of Auchenames (Auchinames or Achinames), Craufurd of Crosbie, Craufurd of Newark, Craufurd of Previck, Craufurd of Thirdpart

  A. Reginald Craufurd of Auchenames and Crosbie (a 1358)
  i. Thomas Craufurd of Auchenames and Crosbie (a 1401)
  m. _ Galbraith (dau/heir of Malcolm Galbraith)
BP1934 suggests that Thomas's successor at Auchenames was called Robert and that Archibald was a younger son (father of Thomas of Previck and Thirdpart) who was ancestor of the Craufurds of Thirdpart, etc. We follow BLG1886 that suggests that Thomas was son rather than nephew of the next laird of Auchenames. Paterson notes the difficulties faced at following the family line at this time.
