Various web sites identify this James as the James (b 07.1585) of Market Overton, Rutland, who was father (by Margery) of Hannah, the mother of Sir Isaac Newton. It is possible but unlikely that he was not baptised until he was 25 so, unless Maddison was mistaken with that baptism date (which does make him appear to have been quite a bit younger than his siblings), we are sceptical about this connection.
